Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) organized a spectacular spiritual event of Shri Ram Katha in Pathankot. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation of people from nearby areas. It was not a mere recitation of Shri Ramcharitmanas verses. It was the revelation of hidden meaning contained in each and every verse of Ram Katha so that people can decipher the meaning in simpler language.

LORD SHRI RAM – an epitome of virtuousness

The katha preacher, disciple of HIS Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji, beautifully elaborated the life and deeds of Lord Ram, the perfect avatar of the Supreme Protector Vishnu. At times, it is difficult for a common person to fathom the motive behind the deeds of incarnate. The most popular symbol of chivalry and virtue, Rama - in the words of Swami Vivekananda - is "the embodiment of truth, of morality, the ideal son, the ideal husband, and above all, the ideal king." The preacher simply yet effectively communicated the same to the audience.

Sadhviji gave incidences from the life of characters in Ramcharitmanas, acquainting the audiences with the gifts of Divine Knowledge (Brahm Gyan), Devotion (Bhakti), and Salvation (Mukti). She encapsulated this by reciting a verse “Bade bhag manus tan pava, sur durlabh sab granthin gava” which means that only humans have been given the principle and power of wisdom and deed by the Lord’s grace. The sole purpose of human life is to be ONE with the supreme work- attain bhakti, gyan and mukti from the cycles of life and death.

Katha also showcased an exhibition showing different projects run by DJJS under the divine guidance of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji like Antardrishti (welfare program for the visually impaired) , Antarkranti (prison reformation program), Manthan (holistic education programme for the underprivileged), PEACE workshops, BODH (drug de-addiction program), SANTULAN (women empowerment program).

The katha concluded with a grand hawan in which the katha vyas and her entire team participated actively. The last two days of the program also saw a large number of people being initiated into Divine Knowledge (Brahm Gyan) with the grace of Shri Ashutosh Maharaji.

On the whole, the katha proved to be a powerful catalyst to reiterate the dire need to transform the masses by attaining Brahm Gyan.
