A country like India can prosper only when there are innovations in the field of agricultural techniques apart from technological innovations. India, largely dependent on agriculture, can set examples for others to follow if it can adopt organic way of farming. Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) under the aegis of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji is working for social and spiritual uplift to the lowest denominator so that financial inclusion becomes a reality. “Hitkari Kheti” is a unique organic farming initiative of DJJS focusing on the revival of agro-ecosystems for the benefit of the farmer, the consumer, the nation and the nature as a whole.
Under the social program of ‘Sanrakshan’ by DJJS, a symposium was organized in “organic farming center’ of the Sansthan. The topic of discussion was “Organic farming – a medium for success”. In this discussion, many high profile scientists, agriculture experts and subject matter experts took part. Honourable Hridaynath Singh Ji (National convener- Panchayati Raj, Kishan Morcha, Namami Gange, Delhi), Shri Vivek Chaturvedi Ji (Unnat Kisan, animal and hand operated farming machines), Shri Bharat Bhushan Ji, Sukhmindar Pal Singh Grewal Ji (National Secretary, Kishan Morcha), Engineer Lupinder Kumar Ji (Soil Conservation Officer), Dr. Bheem Avtar Ji (Agriculture Officer) and almost 200 farmers participated in the event.
Shri Lakhwinder Singh Ji (Head of ‘Organic Farming’) created awareness about ways and advantages of organic farming. Swami Chinmayanand Ji, Disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji and head of ‘Kamdhenu Gaushala (Bovine improvement and conservation)” raised awareness about cow based farming techniques.
The program was very well received. First time, various pertinent issues related to organic farming and environment were discussed at length. The organizers were indebted to the organization for bringing relevant viewpoint to the table for discussion, thereby paving way to a cleaner environment tomorrow.
