India observes its sacred festival ‘Guru Purnima’ in the ‘Ashad’ month of Hindu calendar. The day brings along with the positivity and bliss. The auspicious day is solely dedicated to the spiritual master and mark very special place in the hearts of all disciples. The spiritual master gives a new birth to his disciple by eliminating out all the ill attributes from the personalities of the individual.
This day highlights the eternal bond between the master and his disciples. The disciple surrenders his ego and ignorance to the master and gets purified automatically. DJJS (Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan) is spearheaded by such a perfect spiritual master ‘Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji’. In view of this special day, Antarkranti (Prisoner’s rehabilitation and reformation program of DJJS) organized grand and magnificent Guru Purnima festival inside the following jails of India:
1. Central Jail Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
2. District Jail Kurukshetra, Haryana
3. District Jail Karnal, Haryana
4. District Jail Meerut, Uttar Pradesh
The prisoner disciples, who had witnessed complete behavioral transformation by the grace of Shri Maharaj Ji, marked the day as the most significant to offer their gratitude, love and respect at the lotus feet of the mentor HIS holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. The hearts of the disciples were flooded with emotions and eyes moistened with happiness.
The program started with salutation in the feet of Lord (Pooja) followed by melodious ‘Aarti’. It was concluded by the spiritual sessions and community feast. On a whole, approximately 1000 inmates participated in the event and were blessed by the divine grace of HIS holiness. The transformation of these inmates is an example of inner transformation where Lord doesn’t take into account the wrongdoing of a child and disentangle the child to turn him into a pure soul of THE supreme.
