The workshop opened with a joyful and interactive session that instantly bridged generations. Parents participated in nostalgic games recreated using simple household objects, demonstrating how everyday items can become tools for bonding, play, and learning with children. This activity set the tone for the evening- reminding parents that meaningful connection does not require gadgets or expensive resources, but time, presence, and imagination.

The mood then shifted to introspection with a powerful video presentation highlighting the growing impact of excessive mobile phone usage in children’s lives. The video drew a striking parallel while children appear as the faces of social media reels, it is often parents who unknowingly script the direction, dialogues, costumes, and values behind the screen. The message resonated deeply, underscoring the urgent need for parental awareness and responsibility in the digital age.

This was followed by a compelling theatrical performance that many parents found intensely relatable. The play sensitively portrayed how modern parenting, driven by convenience and over-pampering, often compromises meaningful engagement with children. It reflected how, in the name of comfort, parents unintentionally remove effort, responsibility, and natural growth from a child’s life while simultaneously trying to mould children according to adult expectations, without understanding their innate nature. The emotionally charged performance received a standing ovation, as parents saw reflections of their own daily choices on stage.

The theatre narrative seamlessly culminated in a thought-provoking session led by Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji, Global Program Coordinator. As the session progressed, Sadhvi Ji posed a series of reflective questions to the parents. With each question, parents were invited to introspect, and those who resonated with the truth of the situation chose to wear a puppet mask. Gradually, as the questions unfolded, the auditorium filled with masked faces creating a powerful visual metaphor that led into the poignant line, “Welcome to the Parent Puppet Show.”

Sadhvi Ji further enriched the session by drawing relatable examples from daily life and timeless insights from the Shastras. She concluded with a poignant musical reference from ancient Puranic traditions, illustrating how a parent’s words, intent, and values can shape a child’s entire personality and even prepare them for service to humanity. The session evoked a spectrum of emotions among parents, some felt uplifted, some introspective, many emotional, and several quietly resolved to make meaningful changes in their parenting journey.

The programme was further strengthened by the presence and inspiring address of Swami Narendranand Ji, Secretary, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, who emphasized conscious parenting as a foundational pillar for building a balanced and value-rooted society. The event was also supported by Sadhvi Neema Bharti Ji, Coordinator, DJJS Noida Branch and Sadhvi Shripada Bharti Ji, Coordinator, DJJS Nehru Place Branch.

The workshop was graced by several distinguished guests, including Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Member of Parliament, Gautam Buddh Nagar; Shri Abhishek Sharma, District President, Gautam Buddh Nagar; Shri Mahesh Chauhan, President, Noida Mahanagar; Shri Manoj Gupta, Former District President, Noida Mahanagar; Shri Vikas Jain, Pradesh Adhyaksh, Yuva Vyapar Mandal, Uttar Pradesh; Shri Navneet Gupta, Chairman, Yuva Vyapar Mandal, Uttar Pradesh; Shri Rakesh Pratap Singh, ACP, Noida; Shri Yogendra Sharma, President, Federation of Noida RWA; Shri Gajanan Mali, Founder, 10 News; and Shri Chiranjeev, Vibhaag Pracharak, RSS, Gautam Buddh Nagar.
