Meerut: With a mandate to establish a peaceful and progressive society by eradicating all forms of discrimination against women, raising societal consciousness and eventually creating a 21st century vedic empowered woman, DJJS, under the stewardship of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji-head & founder of the organization, is working endlessly within India and abroad to realize the dream of gender equality and spiritually-awakened mindsets. Through its gender equality program 'Santulan', the organization strives to achieve holistic empowerment of women and alter the preconceived notions, gender stereotypes that have deteriorated status of women. To accredit its endeavours and contribution, DJJS Meerut was invited aboard as the guest of honor in another event of Anokhi club-An initiative by Hindustan Times in association with Star Plus for woman empowerment over fun and engagement on February 23, 2016 at Hotel Harmony Inn, Garh Road, Meerut.

1. The event began with a welcome note by a club member to the guests and fellow participants followed by a brief on objective of creating Anokhi club-Soch Nayi Nazariya Naya.

2. Sadhvi Lokesha Bharti ji and Sadhvi Ambika Bharti ji, disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji, attended the event as Santulan's representatives.

3. On being called upon by anchor, Sadhvi Lokesha Bharti ji delivered a brief lecture on how women's status has changed since ancient times. Misinterpreting the term modernity, the status has rather declined with society moving forward. The creation of modern mindsets in real sense is yet on the to-do-list. With illustration of heroic women in ancient times, Sadhvi ji shed light on the numerous aspects in which women's status has taken a downward slope despite of increase in count of her accomplishments. Further, she briefed about Santulan's objective and 2-pronged approach to sensitize masses and empower women.

4. In regards to the concept of Soch Nayi Nazariya Naya, Sadhvi ji accentuated the need to change mindsets and perceptions about women so as to bring a concrete change in society. She also highlighted spirituality-the distinct tool of DJJS the only way to awaken dormant consciousness and thus change mindset.

5. The club member delivered a thank you note post Sadhvi ji's lecture acknowledging the organization's work in the said matter.

6. By means of this session, DJJS message of sensitization and self-awakening reached 205 women members.
