Thousands of people remained spellbound as they listened to divine message of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha narrated by Sadhvi Vishwambhara Bharti Ji, disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji (Founder and Head of DJJS). The occasion was the 7 days program organized by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, a non-government, non-profit and a leading spiritual organization, from 18th to 24th September 2016 at Kaithal (Haryana).

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Kaithal: Significance of Religion and Purpose of Life

The program began with the welcome address to the gathering of Preachers, the guests, the mammoth audience and the volunteers. Next, it was time for prayers at the lotus feet of Lord Krishna which heightened the spiritual aura at the venue of the program. Many devotees danced to the melodious and heart-throbbing tunes of the devotional songs. The theme of some songs delivered the cautionary advice about the responsibility of an individual towards self and the society.

In the course of commentary on the various episodes relating to Katha, the learned Sadhvi emphasized that each individual has to contribute for changing the society as a whole and such changes are possible when the individuals are transformed from within. Authentic and permanent changes are possible with the realization of the Self. One needs to go to the root cause of social and personal problems and strive hard to give up lethargy. Meditation is an important tool that challenges the negativities and provides the inner strength to progress on the spiritual path. Meditation is not a simple breathing exercise but it is the divine ladder for spiritual ascendency, and its final goal is realization of the Self. This sort of spiritual pursuit is possible only with the benign grace of Sadguru (The Perfect Master) when He opens the Third Eye of the spiritual aspirant and blesses him with Brahm Gyan. Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji has blessed millions of his devotees with Brahm Gyan and as such they are perfectly equipped to practice meditation as per proper procedure, having practically experienced divinity in their inner world at the time of initiation. Spiritual discourses are meant to sustain enthusiasm and kindle spirituality without intermission. Bad traits like greed, lust, anger etc. would be the traits of the past as their place has been taken over by bliss, the state where the pairs of opposites are non-existent. The secular tools of happiness are transient and they can never lead to permanent source of joy. As such we need to live life with a detached perception of the relationships with the world of objects. Your Sadguru forgives you for your inadvertent faults provided you sincerely work for His cause and His love for you is true and unconditional.

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Kaithal: Significance of Religion and Purpose of Life

Explaining the significance of incarnation of Lord Krishna, Sadhvi highlighted how He had to undergo trials and tribulations like an ordinary individual,  and yet He did not forsake truth at all times and at all costs, either during times of peace or war situations. He taught us how to challenge the hurdles of life and to remain ever blissful. Through Bhagavad-Gita, he delivered the essence of Self and secular management to humankind, knowing which, there is nothing more remains to learn.

Selfless volunteers  dutifully performed their service at various departments, showcasing the on-going social projects of DJJS like Antardristi (Livelihood of differently abled individuals), Antarkranti (Reformation and rehabilitation of prisoners), Sanrakshan (Environment protection), Santulan (Gender equality) , Manthan (Holistic education program for underprivileged children) etc.
