A person with no peace of mind does not actually live, but just exists. People are working harder day and night to earn more and more but still peace of mind seems to be lost somewhere. It is all in search of peace and happiness that everyone is heading towards some or the other path. To make the people aware of real everlasting source of happiness, the Chandigarh Branch of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) organized seven days Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Panchkula, Haryana from 15th to 21st September, 2019. Program started with the recitation of hymns from Vedas, the most ancient Hindu Scriptures. The divinity of the Katha kept the audience captive, and the transcendental bhajans filled the atmosphere with mystical emotions.

Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Described as a Perennial Source of Happiness & Peace at Panchkula, Haryana

The Katha orator Sadhvi Kalindi Bharti Ji, disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, flawlessly narrated Katha with innumerable shlokas and explained that Shrimad Bhagwat is an exposition, which explains human life very clearly. It gives a direction leading to the ultimate liberation of the soul. It is such a wonderful and sublime scripture that King Parikshit who had only seven days to live, listened to seven day narration o the same and attained liberation from ignorance and fear through the art of self. Further explaining the divine deeds of Shri Krishna, the orator stated that you can even count the stars and the particles of sand in the seashore but it is not possible to count the heroic deeds and glorious actions of Shri Krishna. Every word of Shri Krishna’s teachings and every act of His is full of life transforming lessons, need is to be able to understand them and practice them. He taught the supreme truths of Yoga, Bhakti and Vedanta to Arjuna and Uddhava. Shri Krishna’s political insight and wise statesmanship were admired by the rulers of his time.

Today, a man is totally disassociated from the world of nature, from its Creator. Peace does not come from outside. Rather, it has to come from within. The real happiness can only be attained by realization of God who resides in the heart of every individual being. It’s only after self-realization, when a perfect spiritual master dispels the darkness of ignorance with the cognizance of Divine Knowledge, that one can experience one’s true inner self. The modern era also needs the nourishment of this divine technique to set free from evils and attain the stage of social transformation. It is only after this that the path of bhakti begins for a devotee to reach the divine and assimilate in him, thus attaining his true self. Each time a new person awakens to the universal truth, the whole of humanity raises a notch. The more one is united with that ultimate level, the more is the blessedness that it will bestow.
