The Modern Woman Paradox: DJJS Santulan Ignites Transformational Dialogue on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment

A compelling short film showcased the wide-ranging and transformative impact of DJJS Santulan’s multifarious initiatives implemented over two decades through outreach programs like mass awareness drives, gender sensitisation workshops, counselling sessions, street plays, seminars and conferences with experts and peer groups in elevating the dignity and status of women across underprivileged and elite communities alike. An electrifying dance ballet showcasing the resilient journey of rise of female wrestler Antim Panghal was presented that portrayed grit, discipline, and the indomitable resolve of India’s daughters who challenge boundaries and redefine destiny, delivering a strong message on self-belief, perseverance and breaking societal stereotypes. Sadhvi Nishanka Bharti Ji in her address underscored the paradox of contemporary times where women are scaling new heights, shattering gender stereotypes, and breaking through imposed glass ceilings, claiming leadership roles across domains, yet continue to face persistent challenges such as gender-based violence, discrimination, and deep-rooted societal prejudices. Sadhvi Ji further shared that Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji says, “for women to be empowered in true sense, it has to be a two-pronged approach, first the society needs to be awakened towards the glory of women and second the women need to be made self-aware, and it could be realized only through spiritual awakening.”

The event was graced by esteemed women personalities including Dr. Manisha Arora (IAS), Commissioner, Rajasthan Foundation; Dr. Nagalakshmi Choudhary, President, Karnataka State Women’s Commission; and Ms. Chhavi Rajawat, renowned social leader.
