Unique Workshop on Mental Health Held by PEACE Program for Working Professionals

Firstly, Sadhvi Parma Bharti Ji, Facilitator, PEACE Program, took a session in which she presented stylisation techniques from Vedic times and proved how they were very scientific. Those techniques can be utilized today also for good mental health.

Certain Yogasanas were demonstrated on stage and were done by all the participants.  These Yogasanas have a good connection with organs affected by negative emotions. The same has been proven by science.

Besides, an insightful and interesting quiz was conducted on food and diet. It highlighted the connection of diet with mental health and how food can act as a booster to have good mental health, when taken in the right manner, and as per the rules of Ayurveda.

The session concluded with different techniques of claps, which in itself is a holistic technique to have a sound mental health and relax the nervous system.

The second session named “From Monkey to Monk Mind” was taken by Sadhvi Dr. Nidhi Bharti Ji, Principal Coordinator, PEACE Program.

She showed a mental jar in which there was a combination of white and black balls. Black balls represent our negative emotions and vices which have afflicted our mind. White balls represented our good emotions like loyalty, compassion, love, and positivity. This showed that all of us have these two types of balls in our mental setup.

She said, “The question is how to get rid of these black balls which are negative emotions that have afflicted our mind. Neither expression nor suppression is the solution because when we suppress, it leads to a volcanic outburst. The more we express then the size or the quantity or the strength of the balls increases.”

She further said, “The solution is to control our negative emotions.”

For this, various practical techniques were taught in the workshop including the practice of BrahmGyan’s Meditation.

Then a session based on testimonies, “Direct Dil Se”, was held by the selfless and highly dedicated volunteers of PEACE Program who hold prominent positions in the corporate sector.

They shared their experiences that through meditation and selfless volunteership at PEACE, their mental health has become tremendously wonderful or has evolved.

At the end, a congratulatory note was given by Sadhvi Tapeshwari Bharti Ji, Co-Principal Coordinator, PEACE Program, on account of the Pran Pratishtha Inaugural Ceremony held in Ayodhya. All the participants were made to wear headbands whose front side, placed at the Third Eye, carried the portrait of Shri Ram.

PEACE Program sent a congratulatory message for the coming of Shri Ram at the temple in Ayodhya. Sadhvi Ji inspired the participants to awaken, see, and establish Shri Ram’s consciousness at the Third Eye centre for a perfect mental health.

This was followed by a soul-stirring musical concert on “Manas Rog” mentioned in Tulsidas ji’s Ramcharitmanas. It was a high-note melodious kirtan where all the participants were found dancing to the tunes of Jai Shri Ram.

On the whole, the workshop was designed on an idea that modern psychology is still ambiguous about the difference between brain and mind. Our present day psycho-scientists are not clear that apart from the neurological brain, we have a subtle entity inside us that is the mind, which is the source of all the thoughts, tendencies (Vritties), emotions, feelings, and sanskaras (past impressions). BrahmGyan's Third Eye Meditation is the sole technique to balance the mind.
