Teej 2026 was celebrated by DJJS under its gender equality program Santulan through a series of engaging, reflective, and spiritually enriching workshops under the banner ‘Swayam se Sakshatkar’, as a part of its ongoing and renowned campaign “Tu Hai Shakti 2.0”, with Yuva Mahila Brigade and Sashakt Mahila Brigade. The event highlighted the deeper significance of Teej as not just a festival of external celebration, but also a journey of inner awakening, self-realization, and personal transformation.

The program began with an icebreaking activity titled ‘Self-Introspection’, in which participants solved a word puzzle featuring Teej-related words. The activity encouraged enthusiastic participation while introducing the spiritual and cultural essence of the festival in an interactive manner.

This was followed by “This or That?”, a thoughtful activity that helped participants reflect on the difference between external festive expressions and the inner values associated with Teej. Through this exercise, participants were encouraged to understand that Indian festivals carry deep spiritual messages beyond mere dressing up, dancing, decorating, and capturing memories.

A special preacher talk explored the spiritual significance of Teej through the journey of Goddess Parvati. The session emphasized her devotion, penance, and ultimate realization of the Self, inspiring participants to reflect on their own inner growth and highest potential.

The celebration also included mass participation games such as a blindfolded product-identification challenge and a team drawing activity using a threaded marker. These activities added excitement, teamwork, and collaboration to the event, making it lively and participative.

Through these thoughtfully designed sessions Teej was presented as a meaningful celebration that combined devotion, learning, reflection, and fun, while reinforcing the values of self-awareness, inner strength, and holistic growth.

DJJS Santulan, the gender equality initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, aims to eradicate crimes against women through a combination of grassroots activism and spiritual awakening. The program actively works to dismantle deep-rooted social biases, such as female feticide and son-preference syndrome, to restore women to a position of high societal dignity. Through initiatives like the Tu Hai Shakti campaign, the organization empowers women by fostering both emotional and social strength.
