DJJS Meerut: The one who is always considered to be vulnerable, the one who is least cared for, the one who is regarded as unimportant; is the one without whose contribution none of the societies can be called civilized. She is a Woman!
Women are labeled as the weaker sex by our society. Right from her birth, the feeling of being subordinate is inculcated in her. The goal of becoming an actual modern and developed society will remain a dream only until and unless we empower the women.
To make prospective women realize their self-worth and instigate in them the ideal conduct of true womanhood, Meerut center of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) conducted a grooming workshop under the banner of Santulan – the Gender Equality program of DJJS at Smt. Sushila Devi Girls Inter College in Meerut on 26th Sept. 2014.
The grooming workshop tagged as ‘Charitra’ was held for girls of class tenth to class twelfth which is somehow the most susceptible age group of getting misled by influences and peer pressure. With the instrumentality of a skit, a beautiful expression was given to the most maleficent complication in the lives of the youth which is peer pressure, followed by solution based words of wisdom by sadhvi gender trainers of the sansthan.
Hundreds of girls witnessed and amassed benefit from the virtuous lectures by Sadhvi Neelam Bharti Ji and Sadhvi Lokesha Bharti Ji, disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, the founder and head of DJJS. “Women must learn to raise voice for what is not acceptable to them as on their shoulders lies the future of the whole family and hence the whole society”, said Sadhvi Neelam Bharti Ji.
The second half of workshop showered over the recipients, an Upnashidic view of ‘Unity’. If everyone helps to hold up the sky, then one person does not get tired - keeping in mind this philosophy of being united, Sadhvi ji felicitously motivated young girls.
Towards the end, young girl students meticulously came forward and quoted their views and thoughts over the issue on a comment wall. Naari ke astitva ke saath zaroori hai Naari Ki suraksha aur uska charitra nirman are a few to mention. Immense enthusiasm and positive interpretation of the subject of workshop was observed in the batch.
DJJS has been working in various fields for the upliftment of various sections of the society. Its holistic programs in the sectors of education, community health, gender, environment protection, bovine conservation, drug abuse eradication, disaster management and empowerment of disabled and prisoners are benevolently working for the betterment of the society.
