Addiction today is not limited by gender or age; it has become a widespread social menace affecting families and society at large. Women, once seen only as victims, are now also direct consumers of intoxicants, making it vital to empower them as leaders of change. Spreading awareness within local communities is therefore essential to break the cycle of addiction and build a healthier, addiction-free nation.

Continuing the momentum, DJJS Jodhpur hosted a Quit Karo, Sankalp Awareness Program at Naya Plot, Hospital Road, Chopasani. Attended by 165+ beneficiaries, the event featured an enlightening discourse by Sadhvi Ritambhara Bharti Ji. Interactive quizzes, group discussions, and real-life case studies deepened understanding of the social, physical, and psychological consequences of addiction. The program also launched a Women as Peer Educators initiative, encouraging participants to lead micro-awareness sessions in their localities.

Broader Impact & Future Steps

Both events concluded with the Quit Karo Pledge, committing participants to live addiction-free lives and inspire others. To ensure continuity, DJJS branches are now building local support networks, peer groups, and regular workshops. Plans include outreach to college and school girls, recognizing that preventive education at an early stage is crucial to curbing future addiction trends.

The initiatives received strong appreciation from the local community and were covered in media outlets, underlining the importance of empowering women to lead change.

Through these transformative efforts, DJJS reaffirms its commitment to expand the Sankalp Campaign nationwide. By integrating spiritual guidance, community awareness, follow-up mechanisms, and women-centric leadership, the campaign is sowing seeds of long-term transformation. Together, we march toward a healthier, conscious, and addiction-free India.
