Devotion is the key to reach God within. It is a simple path but often hard to walk upon. In such cases when the going gets tough, we humans need assurance that in the end everything will work out in the best possible way. Furthermore, that all our efforts to spiritually advance will bring fruits. To raise the enthusiasm level for the path of devotion, DJJS organized a devotional concert with Swami Chidanand Ji as the orator of the event at Kumbh Mela, Prayagraj on 5th February 2019. The theme of the event was the story of Shri Hanuman.

Shri Hanuman is known as an ardent devotee of Lord Ram. This feature is the foundation of his entire identity. However, his journey to become a complete devotee wasn’t an easy one. Shri Hanuman had to wait for a long time to see Lord Ram. In this context, he received the help of his beloved spiritual teacher (Guru) Surya Dev (The Sun). His Guru gave him the ancient divine knowledge called Brahm Gyan. This knowledge opened the inner vision on the basis of which Shri Hanuman realized the true purpose of his life. He was able to see the need to be of service in the task of Lord Ram; a task that was focused upon establishing a vice free society.

Moreover, as a result of the divine knowledge, Shri Hanuman attained all the traits necessary for the completion of Lord Ram's aim. The traits of having patience and faith are two of the most important ones for a devotee. Shri Hanuman exhibited both of these through his actions.  Shri Hanuman was sent by Lord Ram to find Devi Sita in the city of demon Ravan. In the process, Shri Hanuman didn’t lose patience but rather searched the city with a firm conviction in his efforts that stem from his faith in his Lord. Further, when he was caught and his tail was set on fire by the demon army, Shri Hanuman didn’t submit to Ravan. Instead Shri Hanuman burned down the entire Lanka. Such was the strength of Shri Hanuman's devotion that he turned adversities into opportunities to fulfill the work of his Lord. Swami Ji concluded the event with the assertion that the reason of Shri Hanuman’s success was, as stated above, the divine knowledge granted by the grace of his Guru. It was his Guru that bridged the gap between Lord Ram and him. We, too, can walk the path of devotion with ease if only we are able to find a true Guru who can show us the divine within. For this, the guidance of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji can (and will always) be of real help.
