Here observations and studies are ruining the hope for a better and a drug free nation.  Particularly, if we talk about Haryana, the use of cannabis among the children is almost as high as 63.3% while about 80% of the school-going children were reported to consume alcohol in 2013. These figures are merely not just numbers but they represent the heart rendering condition of the people in Haryana.

Bodh sensitized masses against drug abuse in Sirsa, Haryana

In order to deal with the problem of drug abuse, Bodh -the drug abuse eradication program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan organized an awareness program at the Setia Resort in Ellanabad, on 13 March 2015 for more than 1500 people of Sirsa, Haryana.

The aim of the program was to sensitize the masses about the Hazards of Drug Abuse. An insightful lecture by Swami Ji on "How Drugs ruin a person physically, socially and professionally” marked the beginning of the session. Giving various real life examples, he encouraged the people to quit drugs and live a Drug- Free Life. Post this; a stage play was performed by Bodh Volunteers, depicting the various phases of an addict's life- his journey from a mere user to an addict. Performances during the play left a question and feeling of aghast regarding "What an addict actually go through during addiction".

In the grim and thoughtful state of mind, as a ray of hope and epitome of change, beneficiaries of bodh program came forward and shared their story of transformation, quoting ‘Psychoanalytical module’ based ‘Dhyan Therapy’ as the only solution that changed their life forever.

Participants also visited the exhibition showcased, based on the various myths and facts regarding the problem of drug abuse. Many were also given one-to-one counseling during interaction sessions.  Mr. Ameerchand Mehta, BJP, District President & Mr. Vedpriya Gupta, Principal, D.A.V. School graced the event as chief guest and guest of honor. At the end, their appreciated the performances done by bodh volunteers and with the efforts organization in doing to combat the problem of drug abuse in Haryana.
