Under ‘Aarogya’- The holistic health program of Divya Jyoti jagrati Sansthan(DJJS), “निशुल्क आयुर्वेदिक स्वास्थ्य चिकित्सा शिविर” - a free ‘Ayurvedic Health checkup Camp’ was organized by DJJS Kotkapura at Seth Jeevan Ram Kedarnath Khemka Dharmshala, Kotkapura in Punjab on 18th September 2018 ; to promote traditional methods of Ayurvedic Treatment and sensitize masses on the effectiveness of Ayurveda as a natural course of complete health & well-being.
One week prior to camp, publicity was done through pamphlets distribution, hoardings, local newspapers and a poster to promote the camp was also released by preachers & volunteers of DJJS Kotkapura. The Camp started with Lamp Lightening ceremony by eminent guests Sh.Vinod Garg, Sh. Nandlal Bhavalpuriya, Sh. Rajeev Goyal, Sh. Goverdhan ji, Sh. Shyamlal ji, Sh. Nand Kumar ji; followed by a cultural program of devotional music and talks by DJJS preachers of Kotkapura center. On this occasion, DJJS preacher Swami Gurusharnanand ji elucidated that “Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine is very effective to deal with modern day health problems without producing any side effects as the medicines are mainly prepared from herbs & plants containing no harmful ingredients. Thus it does not producing any major adverse effect on body as compared to the use of allopathic medicines which may cause harmful effect on kidney, liver, intestines, along with some allergic effect to skin”. Also Dr. Shashi Tiwari generated and motivated the congregation about the ancient & traditional herbal home remedies to cure and prevent the common ailments.
The registration of patients was done by DJJS volunteers. In a four hour long camp, free consultancy and diagnosis was provided to the registered patients by the eminent team of Ayurvedic doctors Dr. Raj Kumar, Dr. Rupesh ji, Dr. Shalokya Bharti and Dr. Shashi Tiwari of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ayurvedic Treatment Centre, Nurmahal. More than 135 patients reaped benefits in the form of diagnosis, consultation and ayurvedic medicines for ailments like , asthma, diabetes, paralysis, back pain, arthritis, constipation, migraine, acidity, gastric problems, obesity etc. Special arrangements have been made in the camp for free Blood pressure and Blood sugar checkup. Well researched medicines of SAM Ayurveda Pharmacy were available for patients at concessional price. A large number of health seekers of nearby localities visited to inquire and buy the well-researched ayurvedic products and medicines manufactured at SAM Ayurveda Pharmacy, Nurmahal, Punjab.
