Today if we look around, then we may notice that there is noise everywhere. Smartphone is something that has become intrinsic part of our lives. Instead of using an alarm clock, people set the morning alarm in their mobile phones only. People can be seen constantly checking and using their mobile phones throughout the day for many purposes. Their day ends with mobile too. Furthermore, many digital applications have been developed in-order to cope up with the stress of modern life. These applications require an individual to be further glued to the mobile. These applications include audio/video discussions on how to do meditation. In this regard, a popular one is about using instrumental music as therapy to put the mind at ease. The user can choose any instrument of his/her liking and listen to its various versions all day. These measures may have benefits but these methods can never last long for inner calmness cannot be achieved on the basis of any external object.

Here it must be noted that soothing music does have positive effect on the mind but any instrumental music is symbolic of inner rhythms. For instance, Lord Shiva’s representations has a pellet drum (damru) attached to the trident held in one his hands. This pellet drum is not just an ornamental object held by lord Shiva. The instrument holds spiritual meaning. It points to the ever present and the unending sound that is the essence of every being of this world. However, to witness this sound one doesn’t need to possess any instrument but become one in the hands of Supreme. Sadhvi Lokesha Bharti Ji, disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, explained this art of becoming an instrument in the hands of God, at the Shiv Katha held in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand from 7th to 13th August, 2018.

Sadhvi Ji said that the only process through which an individual can permanently be made conscious of inner serenity is of enlightenment (Brahm Gyan) attained by the grace of a true spiritual master (Guru). The master opens the third eye of the individual making him/her capable of experiencing the divine sound within. With this, the individual no longer requires an external object for maintaining a peaceful mind, body and soul connection. But for this to happen, an individual has to first seek a true Guru. DJJS is an authentic door to such a spiritual journey. Hence, all are welcome to attain Brahm Gyan from His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.
