Spiritual Katha is one such medium that binds together the spiritual and social string beautifully. It connects people to the Lord in a lucid manner so that humanity can be awakened. One such event was held in Mandi Dadwali, District Sirsa, Haryana from 17th - 21st December 2019. Sadhvi Saumya Bharti Ji, preacher disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji was the convener of the event. Sadhvi Ji narrated many incidents from the life of Lord Krishna which otherwise perceived as a simple story but carries deep spiritual meaning. Listening to these stories is not enough. To taste the ripe fruit of enlightenment and peace, we must implement the moral conveyed by these stories. Since all the acts were carried out by Lord Krishna himself, each one had unfathomable meaning and relevance even today. The seekers of spirituality attending the Krishna Katha were captivated by the soulful bhajans and the divine discourses imparted from Lord Krishna’s life.
Every event that chanced in the life of Lord Krishna re-educates humanity about devotion, dharma and the ultimate truth. Shri Krishna was born to Devaki in a prison cell where she was captivated by her own brother, king Kansa. The birth of Lord Krishna amidst the darkness of the night symbolizes the fact that the darkness of greed and ignorance within us can be eradicated by the spiritual enlightenment and divine knowledge. Sadhvi Ji blissfully highlighted the need of a “True Spiritual Master” as Shri Krishna himself essayed the importance of a celestial master to overpower the waves of the wandering mind to Meera bai and guided her to the homage of a True Guru who then bestowed the gracious gift of Divine Eye to witness the infinite form of Lord. Sadhvi Ji advocated the importance of the divine knowledge (‘Brahm Gyan’) bestowed only by a true master as it is the ultimate weapon that teaches us to lead the life the righteous way. It teaches us to treat pleasure and pain, gain and loss, victory and defeat as equal variables.
The true form of meditation and devotion learned from the Perfect Master paves the way to eternal happiness and harmony. The soulful event concluded with the promise to relive the virtues of Krishna. The Spiritual Katha created an aura of peace and divinity which the audience thoroughly enjoyed.
