Shri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav is celebrated with immense joy and devotion across India. More than just commemorating the birth of Lord Krishna, it is a vibrant, living festival that embodies spiritual wisdom, cultural richness, and heartfelt devotion. Every year, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) brings this ancient celebration to life, offering invaluable lessons from the timeless teachings of Shri Krishna—the Jagadguru (Supreme Mentor of the Universe).

This year, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) organized Shri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav: Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum on 16th August 2025 at Divya Darshan Bhawan, Nurmahal Ashram, Punjab. The celebration was marked by a soul-stirring blend of inspiring spiritual discourses and soulful devotional music, amplified by the vibrant presence of thousands of devotees.
The event was planned and managed entirely by DJJS volunteers who are driven purely by devotion. Their goal went far beyond simply recounting Krishna’s stories- they sought to inspire self-awareness and spark the journey of inner transformation in every heart.

One of the highlights of the Mahotsav was the powerful spiritual discourses delivered by the disciples of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. These were not mere lectures, but engaging and relatable talks that brought the profound philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita into the context of modern life.
The orator explained the key concepts such as Brahm Gyan and the inner wisdom shared by Lord Krishna with Arjuna in ways that transcended rituals, and inviting deeper understanding. They encouraged people to reflect on thought-provoking questions like, “If Lord Krishna were to take birth today, would we recognise Him?” This prompted many to think about how they could live by Lord Krishna’s values in today’s world.
What made the celebration even more meaningful was its relevance to contemporary challenges. Themed presentations like “Darshan Itihaas Ka, Parivartan Aaj Ka” (Learning from the Past, Transforming the Present) connected Krishna’s teachings with issues such as mental health, environmental stewardship, and social harmony.
The festival welcomed everyone—from dignitaries to local devotees—demonstrating that Lord Krishna’s message of love, courage, and compassion is universal and timeless.
Beyond the vibrant colors, music, and rituals, the Mahotsav carried a deeper mission: to help people move from merely “believing” in Lord Krishna to truly “experiencing” His consciousness (Krishnatattva) within themselves. Through sacred rituals, meditation, and the opportunity to register for Brahm Gyan, many embarked on a personal journey echoing Arjuna’s awakening in the Gita.
By seamlessly blending tradition with transformative messages, DJJS ensured that the teachings of Lord Krishna remain alive, accessible, and deeply relevant, even in 2025.
As the chants of Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum echoed through the air, they left behind more than just memories- they ignited a lasting inspiration to carry the wisdom of the Jagadguru into everyday life.
