In the 21st century, learning creativity is widely acknowledged as vital for social and economic innovation and development as well as for individual well-being. DJJS Manthan SVK has been consistent in taking this approach of changing the dynamics of teaching children and has proven successful in bringing about holistic development, enhancing learning and nurturing their potential beyond the classroom. Co-curricular activities encompass a wide range of experiences from sports, arts, music, community service, and leadership initiatives, these activities offer diverse learning opportunities for children. By engaging in co-curricular activities, children can broaden their horizons, explore new interests, and develop vital life skills.
In the month of September 2023, DJJS Manthan SVK connected with more than 1589 students across the various DJJS branches in the country through both its online and offline workshops. The workshops that were conducted are as follows -
नींव-Nurturing Strong Future session on Cyber Security was facilitated by Mr. Surmeet Singh, founder of Sohang Cyber Security Services. Students were made aware of malicious attempts on the internet and the digital devices that they regularly use. This workshop guided students on the know-hows of digital challenges and the best prevention is to be better prepared and well-equipped to manage them efficiently and effectively.
Jeevan Kaushal Karyashala workshops were based on the topic Self Esteem facilitated by Sadhvi Aneesha Bharti Ji. Children were taught why self-esteem matters and how it can be developed. Children discovered how self-esteem can have a positive impact when they know how to value themselves. It helps in building confidence, to feel loved and cared for. The same can be reciprocated by children to others which is an important social skill.
Bharat Gaurav Gatha- Aao Karein Bharat Ki Sair illustrated a virtual tour about the majestic state of West Bengal, starting from its geographical area, reminiscent of the historic battles, cultural values inclusively like festivals, cuisine, folk music, dance forms, national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, heritage places, eminent heroes and state contributors were showcased to the students.
Bhartiya Sanskriti Ki Shreshthta- a session on Architecture Ancient and Modern was conducted by Manthan SVK volunteers. Children were taught about Ancient Indian architecture which has a beautiful legacy with the most distinctive features such as a blending of various cultures and architectural styles. A direct result of geographical, climatic, ethnic, racial, historical and linguistic diversities, ancient Indian architecture has an influence that can be seen and experienced in many forms to this day.
Vigyanshala where Manthan SVK volunteers demonstrated live science experiments via virtual sessions for children to learn how simple resourcefulness can nurture their intellectual curiosity, helping children acquire new ways of asking questions and understanding the world.
Every student paid their heartfelt salutations unto the lotus feet of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, the sole inspirtation behind the incessant efforts and endevours of DJJS Manthan SVK.
