Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) conducted an event of Ram Katha from 1st February to 5th February 2020 at Sanatan Dharam Sabha School Ground, Nawanshahr, SBS Nagar, Punjab. The spiritual orator of the day and disciple of revered Gurudev, Sadhvi Sumedha Bharti Ji explained that though Lord Rama existed thousands of years ago, yet his teachings and his ways to live life is equally important to succeed in modern age.

Following the path of dharma, Maryada Purushottam Lord Rama took every step in his life to be truthful and righteous. He left the kingdom of Ayodhya when he was the true successor to the throne just to honour his father's word. Being in the mortal form, Lord Rama lived a princely life till he grew up but this king of Suryavanshi clan did not hesitate while eating fruits (ber), which were already tasted by a poor old woman named Shabri. It signifies that caste and creed do not matter; it is always possible to attain God through pure devotion.

At times, it is difficult for a common person to fathom the motive behind the deeds of incarnate. The most popular symbol of chivalry and virtue, Rama - in the words of Swami Vivekananda - is "the embodiment of truth, of morality, the ideal son, the ideal husband, and above all, the ideal king."

The orator urged people to not to limit themselves to listening to Lord Rama’s life as a tale but try to internalize it. She explained that it is possible to imbibe the qualities like Lord Rama by acquiring the ancient divine knowledge ‘Brahm Gyan’. Only a perfect master can initiate the human being into this divine knowledge. By constant meditation and discourses, such devotion and surrender develops. The soulful bhajans were interspersed with the Katha and had insightful messages.

 The congregation found itself greatly enriched after attending the mesmerizing program, which proved to be a spiritual delight for the starving souls. The audience imbibed the message of “Self-Awakening” i.e. Brahm Gyan to realize Lord Ram within.
