Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Samriti Manch invited the Jalandhar branch of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan founded/mentored by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji with regards to its ungoing project Bodh, (Drug Abuse Eradication Program) to grace the event along with Sh. Laxmi Kant Chawla - Ex. Health Minister, Master Mohan Lal - Ex. Transport Minister and the gracious Sh. Sukhvinderjeet Singh, Grandson of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Ji too was also present during the event conducted in which the efforts of the campaign, ‘उन्मूलन’ running in the state of Punjab was respectfully acknowledged.
Gazing at the contemporary times where nationalism has become the most debatable topic as Today, that is on the 23rd of March, people are forcefully expected to wear badges and slogans of nationalism on their sleeves and knowingly or unknowingly we are breathing upon the platform of nationalism secured by our selfless martyrs. It is therefore wise to inquire about the nationalism of Bhagat Singh and whose patriotism, sacrifice and selfless love for India and her people is beyond doubt.
During the lecture, Sadhvi Garima Bharti ji, the austere disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji talked about the various aspects that these patriots lived their lives for and interacted with the enthusiastic audiences on the contemporary topics like patriotism, nationalism and what it is likely to be dutifully loyal with the country. Since it has been falsely shaped as the most confusing subject today mainly amongst youth after having some incidences of protests at various renowned universities, sadhvi Ji further stated how with rights comes the responsibilities as well. Focussing upon the life incidents of the patriots, she too exclaimed, "a person strong in character can think and act for a larger good, a person strong in morals can do good to the masses, a person who is not self centered can sacrifice his/her own interest for someone. So don’t just go out and outloud the slogans of victory of patriots like Bhagat Singh merely in words, wear tattoos and t shirts having these icons imprinted on them as we must have guts to first analyse, understand and then take stand not for one's individualistic glory or fame but for the glory of the nation as a whole because the ones who battle for others register their names in the book of history not the ones who created uproars, unheavel conditions and commotion in the country socially and politically. Likewise, “Don’t just behave like bhagat singh, be like him from within” are the words she concluded her roaring lecture with.
Almost 1500 people attended the event held at Shiv Nagar Ground near Sodal Mandi and appreciated the words delivered by Sadhvi Ji. Other gracious members also facilitated their respective speeches with the audiences and all-in-all, it was an emotional roller coaster for them to go through the life journey of passion, dedication and sacrifice by the patriots for their country.
