Punjab, the state that should have been known for its vegetative prosperity is now desolately known for having an affluent environment of drugs and its recreational usages across the state. But the state further turned bitterer when the measures to combat the issue have no social as well as political will. Therefore, shouldering the responsibility of transformation of the entire state, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan founded/mentored by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji is actively working in various sectors for decades now. In the series, under its Drug Abuse Eradication Program Bodh, a yearlong campaign has been kicked off at Jalandhar with a magnanimous walkathon including our selfless volunteers and participants in the auspicious presence of the elite guests. Here, adding another bead to the beautiful garland of change, the organization was invited by Panditt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Samriti Manch in order for disseminating the very unique message of ‘awakening creates awareness” wherein people were given an insightful journey into how mind-set change can alone bring any revolution to the society specifically in the field of drug de-addiction because as UNODC which is the profound organization that works on the issue says – ‘Addiction is psychological issue’, an issue that thoroughly deforms one's thoughtprocess and persuades a person to opt for drugs in combating any problem of life.
