“Let no man in the world live in delusion. Without a Guru none can cross over to the other shore” -Guru Nanak
Guru Purnima - A festival of paying tribute to one’s Spiritual Guru, is celebrated in the honour of Guru. It is the most important festival in life of a disciple. This is the day to show love and gratitude towards Guru. This day highlights the eternal bond between the master and his disciples. It is the opportunity for a disciple to worship his master offering the innermost and the deepest gratitude towards the Satguru. This event further sharpens one’s focus towards the spiritual goals.
To sharpen this focus, DJJS celebrated the divine festival of Guru Purnima on 29th July, 2018 at Divya Dham Ashram, New Delhi. Numerous devotees witnessed the event and satiated their yearlong desire to be part of this ecstatic event. The program started with salutation in the feet of Lord followed by melodious ‘Aarti’. Various devotional and melodious bhajans were sung in the divine memories of Shri Gurudev which filled the hearts of audience with immense love and gratitude for Guru. Various preachers of the organization led the masses throughout the event with devotion filled discourses and inspiring musical hymns.
The word ‘guru’ is comprised of the roots ‘gu’ and ‘ru’. ‘Gu’ implies darkness and ‘ru’ stands for light. So, the one who can take us from darkness to light, meaning the one who can show us divine light within, dispelling the darkness of ignorance is a True Guru or a Perfect Master. By the Grace of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, millions of inquisitives have directly experienced the supreme within, thus commencing the journey into the inner kingdoms of their Self. Acting as our Spiritual Guide and a trusted counsellor, he has guided his disciples during their spiritual journey. His teachings are the guiding light in this life and beyond. It is Guru only who can lift a man from an unfathomable ditch of ignorance, for it is through Him only that a man can enlighten his whole life after the achievement of Divine Knowledge.
Cherishing the priceless blessings in the form of divine discourses, all the devotees were filled with delight and vouched to remain steadfast on the path of divinity till their last breath.
